(DIY ) Make Anti cellulite oil at home and loose upto 10cm.in one month and get firm toned skin 

Hello everone I am doctor rachana and today I am going to share a very simple ,yet effective formula of diy anticellulite oil at home which I use on my patients to get rid of cellulite , loose upto 10 cm in one month and get a firmer toned skin

Before going to its formula lets understand what is cellulite?

Cellulite is dimpled lumpy  subcutaneous fat that appears just below the skin and can be easily pinched in between your fingers.
90% of women and 10% of men have cellulite irrespective of being overweight or fit.

What causes cellulite?
Faulty food habbits ,sedentary lifestyle and stress produces toxins and fat.
When this toxins are not flushed out of body due to poor circulation and lack of exercise they cause a chemical reaction which puts a hard coating around the normally soft fat cells which push through the layer of collagen or connective tissues under the skin giving it a lumpy and dimple look on your skin.

Most commonly it affects buttocks, thighs, abdomen and arms.

Scientifically we can get rid of cellulite by 2 ways-

1.by increasing blood circulation of that part

2.by using something of scraping nature to break up the hard rim of these fat cells and flush it out.

Our anticellulite massage works in both the ways

So lets start making our anti cellulite oil

For this we need

sesame or til oil

olive oil

lemon grass oil 10 drops

peppermint oil

juniper oil oil

capsicum oil

measuring cup or beaker

empty bottle
  
In measuring beaker  take  50ml.til or sesame oil , 50ml olive oil and then add essential oils like lemongrass oil 10drops 10 drops peppermint oil,10drops juniper berry oil 10 drops capsicum oil.

Be cautious while handling capsicum oil as it may give burning sensation to your skin and eyes. Mix it properly using a spoon. you will see the change in colour .when it is properly mixed it turns into red colour oil. Then transfer it in bottle and cover it with the lid your anti cellulite oil is ready .If you are making it for commercial purpose for selling then you can even add red colour to it for making it more appealing to people for its fat burning properties.I normally dont add any additional colour. 

your anticellulite oil is ready.

Use this oil and say bye bye to cellulite and also loose upto 10 inches and get a smoother firmer skin.

Now lets understand how to use this oil:

Before applying this oil rub your body with a shower brush or loofah or a thick towel and then using lot of oil massage it properly 

Use it twice a day in morning before bath and at night before sleeping.

For best results

1.just don’t apply oil instead do technical fat loss massage which is a vigorous massage in an upward direction towards heart to improve blood flow , break the hardened fat cells and stop building of toxins in such a way that it leaves your skin tingling and rosy with oxygenated blood. You can also take help of some ayurvedic  therapist to do it on you.

 Hello everyone i am dr. rachana and today i am going to  tell you how to make aloe vera juice at home easily in just 4 steps. you can use this aloe vera juice for internal use and also for external application on skin or hair.

Growing aloe vera plant at home is very easy ,but if  you dont have this plant at your home then you can also buy aloe vera leaves which are easily available in nurseries or any shopping malls or also online.

you can yourself make aloe vera juice at home at much much lesser cost and also best quality without any harmful preservatives and additives in it .Only pure aloe vera juice with multiple healing and medicinal properties.

Follow  this simple 4 steps at home to get fresh aloe vera juice at home-

1.Cut the leaf from the base of the plant and let yellow latex seeps out and then rinse it properly to ensure that no yellow coloured transparent latex is present as that yellow latex may create many health hazards when taken internally.

2. Keep the leaf  in fridger for sometime to harden which helps us to separate gel from leaf easily.

3.Cut both the thorny sides of leaf with sharp knife and then peel the upper greenlayer of the leaf to expose white colour gel and then slowly slide the knife under the gel to remove all the gel .

4.Dice the gel into small pieces and then grind it in the mixture. You will see a lot of froth in your jar ,dont worry let it settle for some time and then slowly remove the upper frothy layer to get a transparent aloe vera  juice ready .

you can store this in fridge upto 1 week.this aloe vera juice can be used for both the purpose internally and externally.Also the froth which we have separated can be used for external use on your hair or skin.

so wasn't this method simple and fast it hardly takes any time but definately save a lot of money which you tend to spend on aloe vera juice and gels.Do try making this and dont forget to comment below.

Flavoured detox water to keep body alkaline & flush toxins ,excess water and loose upto 6inches in one month naturally



Hey every one  I am dr. rachana and today I am going to share you the recipe of flavoured water which can be easily made at home and wil not only help you to flush out toxins, loose some inches but will also help you to keep your body’s ph alkaline which is very important criteria to be healthy.

So lets start to make this flavoured water for this you need-

1. half cucumber sliced into 4-5slices

2.half lemon sliced in 3 to 4 slices

3.1inch ginger very thinly sliced or grated

4. 10 -12 leaves of pudina or mint leaves

5.10-12 leaves of tulasi or holy basil leaves

6. Water 2 litre

7.water jar .

Wash all the 5 ingredients and then Cut cucumber and lemon in to thin slices and grate ginger and keep aside .Now in one jar take 1 litre of water and add all the above 5 ingredients in that  and keep it aside for half an hour. 

Your flavoured water is ready .

you can drink this water directly from the jar or pour it in the glass and enjoy it sip by sip.once ur almost 1 liter water is about to empty then you can refill 1litre of water in the same jar those 5 ingredients need not to be changed.make this water in morning and finish this 2 litre of water throughout the day.Dont keep this water overnight as anything when left overnight looses its nutrients and medicinal property. So make this water fresh early in the morning and finish it before going to bed.

 Take this water for 6 days n then take a gap of 15 days to 21 days.It means one can take this water for 6 days at a stretch once or twice a month.

you will definately feel the difference in your inches and oedema and feel much fresher and lighter then before as this water will help to flush out all excess water and toxins out of your body by increasing your urine output.

It will also increase assimilation of nutrients in your body by creating an alkaline atmosphere in your body which will help you to fight many disorders.
 There is a famous saying “iron cuts iron” so similarly excess water retention problem in body can be eliminated by drink.

Caution:

1.Kidney failure patients should avoid taking this drink as  more water intake is restricted for them.

Now lets start the actual procedure for making our weight loss drink.

For this we need

1.ginger

2.lemon

3.mint or pudina leaves

4.tulasi or holybasil leaves

5.sabja seeds

6.aloe vera juice

7.isabgol husk

8.yava kshaar(its an ayurvedic medicine with many medicinal properties and is highly alkaline in nature as it is nothing but burnt ash of barley plant .chemically it is potassium carbonate).

Boil 1 glass of water in a vessel and add 1 teaspoon grated ginger,25 to 30 leaves of mint leaves, tulasi leaves to it and cover it with the lid once luke warm ,smash it properly and strain it and add half  lemon juice to it . now use this water to soak 1 tsp sabja seeds and 1 table spoon isabgol husk for minimum half an hour in two separate glasses.


Once sabja seeds and isabgol husk both swells up and forms a gelatinous mixture with water mix them together and add 1 tablespoon aloe vera juice  1 pinch yavakshaar to it.

So here is your tasty weight loss drink ready to gear you up to loose weight and inches together.

Consume this drink twice a day once early in morning atleast half an hour before breakfast and at night half an hour before dinner.you can skip your dinner or eat light dinner if you are not hungry after having this drink.

Pregnant ladies ,breast feeding mothers,and ladies during periods should avoid taking this drink

Cardio protective action of Hritayoga- an ayurvedic formuation

Introduction –

Increased level of total cholesterol, LDL, VLDL & lower concentration of HDL is the major risk factor for the development of coronary heart disease, Atherosclerosis and similar disorders. faulty food habbits, life style leads to cardiac disorders.so,other than taking ayurvedic medicines an attempt should be made to do nidaan parivarjan which means eliminate the root disease causing factor for a long time relief.

Aim:-To prove cardio protective activity of Hritayoga.

COMBINATION OF HRITA YOGA:

Hritayoga is the combination of-1 . SomanathiTamraBhasma-30mg 2.Abhrak bhasma-120mg 3. Rasasindur -60mg 4. Arjuna Twak ghana-250mg 5. Shringabhasma-60mg


MODE OF ACTION OF THE CONTENTS -

1. Tamra:-Scrapping of fatty deposition on the inner layer of arteries ( lekhana karma) ,anti coagulant, medohara.

2.Abhraka bhasma:-stimulant of sa, avnode, antioxidant, rejuvenator, mental relaxant.

3.Rasasindur:-improves collateral circulation of cardiac muscles.

4.Arjuna:-Reduces chloestrol,triglycerides, ldl,vldllevel. improves strength of cardiac muscles.improveshdllevel

5. shringabhasma –Antianginal, cardiac muscles relaxant.


Parameters of relief in following tests :
1.Total Cholesterol - 69%
2.Triglycerides-76%
3.LDL level- 58
4.HDL level- 46

Conclusion:-

After the Observation of 10 patients, for 3 month trial we found that objective parameterlike total cholesterol,Triglycerids,LDL level,HDLlevel showed statistically significant result.(p>0.001)
On all above parameters triglycerides, total cholesterol showed more improvement &LDLlevel showed less Improvement. So there is scope for further research to find out the cardio protective efficacy of Hritayoga in large samples. size.

Duration of study –90 days

This was a study conducted on a very small sampe size of 10 patients during our post graduation course. so i would request some scholar to do a further detail study on this project to understand and conclude with some proper conclusion for masses to use this formulation and get benefit from age old science - Ayurveda.

Amrit dhaara an ayurvedic medicine

Amrit dhara the word itself shows the importance or value of the said medicines. Amrit means nectar , dhara word resembles its liquid condition thus amrit dhara signifies a miraculous fluid which works like nectar or amrit to eradicate many diseases. Now by the word “AMRITDHARA” and its propaganda of being usd in multiple disorders many may think it would be some complicated method of making such an mportant medicines with many ingrwdients in it. Right? But no this is not the case with this medicines it is one of the most easiest and fastest medicine you can ever  prepare at your home/clinic. So what are we waiting for hall I disclose the method of its preparation? So here comes its method of preparation-

Peppermint phool/pudina ark / mentho crystals  – 1
Ajwain phool /owa phool / thymol   -1
 Bhimseni kapoor / camphor  -  1

Method of preparation – all this 3 things are available in solid condition but nothing to get wrried we don’t have to heat it or gring it to for liquid as dhara word suggest liquid but on the rare side it’s the uniquicity of this three ingredients that we just have to mix all this three contents in equal proportion in a bottle and keep it for a while and it automatically becomes liquid.no extra efforts to be taken just stir the bottle intermediately so that the process hastens up and uniformly the mixture melts. Done! Tell me wasn’t it was very easy ? ya I know you all might have found it very easy and now let me tell you how and where this medicines can be used. But before that I should not forget you to tell that the above formulation can have some twist in its combination by adding things like clove oil ,eucalyptus oil to it as well depending on the condition for which it need to be used.

Now, lets see the indication of amritdhara-

1.     Most commonly amritdhara works excellent on any kind of pain , inflammation . you can apply directly or you can mix it with any masssge oil for local application on joints , musces etc. thus helps in relieving muscles and joint aches.
2.     It relieves abdominal gases , bloating ,abdominal pain due to gases . for this just add 4-5 drops of amritdhara to half a glass of water and drink it.
3.     It works good in diarrhoea , dysentery as well but if it is severe you may take it with bilva avleha , pachak churna, sanjeevani vati as amritdhaara has a stambahak role so it decreases the frequency of motions and also it is jantughna so kill harmful microorganism.
4.     Works good on krumi dant means if a cotton soaked in amrit dhaara is kept over affected tooth then the pain and swelling decreases.
5.     It can be wonderfully used as inhalant drug for cough,cold,headaches sinus pain, motion sickness etc. You can apply over handkerchief and inhale it or even can be added to boiling water for steam inhalation.
6.     Some age old vaidyas use it for internal use in diabetic patients , patients with elevated levels of creatinine.
7.     Owing to its stambhak property it works good on old age patients who have urine incontinency problem. It can be given 3-4 drops in water for drinking.
8.     It works good in kaphaj asthma as well but for that 3-4 drops can be mixed with honey + guduchi satva.

Thus overall it has carminative ,digestive , stambhak,improves peristaltic movements of guts,anti microbial coolant  action .

Doses :  3-4 drops mixed in luke warm water or desired ingredient 2-3 times in a day.

Chronic angina management through classical Ayurvedic rasaushadhis


INTRODUCTION: Heart is the seat of vital fluid ‘Oja’ Angina is caused by insufficient supply of oxygen to heart muscles. Insufficiency may be due to restricted blood flow caused by decreased diameter of Arteries or Arterioles, fatty deposition or thickened wall of the arteries & arterioles leading decreased quantity of blood per second entering the muscle area. This condition can be corelatedwith kaphaor vaatavrutarakta according to ayurvedic principles.

In chronic angina management Beta blockers,nitrates,calciumchannel blocker,antiplatelateagent ,ACE,inhibitor,lipid lowering agent like statin&angiotensin.arsused and still sometimes patient deteriorates . So a combination was formulated according to vikrutdosha,dushya,andstrotrasawhich would not only relief patient from his pain by improving blood circulation, providing strength to cardiac muscles but also prevent complication by ceasing the further pathology.

Preparation of Kukkutandatwaka bhasma prepared by 3 different methods & its physicochemical analysis


 INTRODUCTION:
          Time has changed the modalities and therapeutic scenarios of Ayurveda
 according to need. Original Ayurveda according to Vedas has mainly used 
herbs, whereas the time progressing metallic compounds started taking the
 role especially during 08th century onwards. Many classical texts took birth
 and saw the real glory of Ayurveda. Certain scholars sacrificed their lives
 for creation of amazing therapeutic herbo mineral preparations. One among 
such innovations in Rasashatstra is bhasma . It is a residual substance, in
 the form of a fine powder, that is left when a metal or mineral combusts 
or is calcinated due to heat, especially of a metal, now known as an oxide.
          Bhasmas are the unique Ayurvedic metallic preparations mixed 
with herbs in various forms to treat various chronic illnesses. When 
they are purified according to the given guidelines they work well 
and exhibit unmatched therapeutic effect. Bhasma are biologically
 produced nano particles enabling the metals or gems easily assimilable,
 digestible and free from side effects. Authentically prepared  bhasmas are 
free side from side effects and  at times are more potent than modern
 medicines. After consumption, they never modify or change their structure
 or metabolize like modern synthetic molecules. Instrumental neutron
 activation analysis proved that Bhasmas contain metallic elements in nano
 particle levels chelated with organic ligands derived from medicinal herbs,
 clearly emphasizes that metals do possess therapeutic values; however,
 when they are calcinated or made in to an oxide or sulphide form with
 help of herbs with certain purified procedure they exhibit their inside
 therapeutic affects in the form of nano particles.
The bhasma are said to become one with the rasa-raktadhatus and 
cure even the incurable ,dreadful disease when used intelligently. 
nutrition deficit diet or old age related osteoporotic changes leading to osteoarthritis , perimenopausal females due to imbalance in oestrogen levels develops various symptoms for which ideally calcium supplements are advised by allopathic doctors also. Thus modern pharmacies generate a huge capital in these calcium preparation. On a similar line in Ayurveda also, such calcium rich dravyas are mentioned and specially they are categorized under Sudhavarga. One such medicine is Kukkutandatvak bhasma. kukkutandatwak means outer shell of hen’s egg i.e an animal source. It is just not rich in calcium but also contains other trace minerals which promotes absorption and assimilation of kukkutandatwaka bhasma which other wise is not present in synthetic calcium supplements. Not only it is cost effective, balances calcium levels in body but also treats other symptoms due to its rasa viryavipaka as such it is successfully used in various disorders such as leucorrhoea impotency etc. natural calcium preparations are more effective than synthetic calcium due to two main reasons.
One thing is, they contain easily absorbable calcium content of > 24 % with easily assimilable form of oxide. In addition, they contain other trace elements such as magnesium, copper, zinc etc. Irrespective of the stomach health they do exhibit their efficacy unlike synthetic molecules which cannot be absorbed in unhealthy gut conditions such as indigestion, chronic gut motility disorders, hormonal imbalances etc. The additional advantage of this unique combination is that they exhibit additional therapeutic actions such as correcting indigestion, helps reduce phlegm, have antacid activity, ulcer healing and anti colic properties which cannot be expected with synthetic molecules.
Also at times it is used as a substitute for Mrugashringa which is a banned drug but a useful drug in Ayurveda.
Aims and Objectives of the Study
1.To carry out  shodhana, marana of  kukkutandatvak bhasma according to the methods laid down in Rasa tantrasaara (By Puta method).
2.To carry out shodhana, marana of kukkutandatvak bhasma according to the methods laid down by khadivaale Vaidya in his book Praatyikshik Aushadhikarana (by Roasting method).
3.To carry out shodhana, marana of kukkutandatvak bhasma according to the method followed by S.G.PhytoPharma Ltd, Kolhapur. (By Steaming method).
4.To carry out the physico- chemical analysis of the Kukkutandatwaka Bhasma.

REVIEW OF LITERATURE:
Kukkutandatwaka:
kukkutandatvak is nothing but hen’s egg shell. Eggshells present healthy, balanced calcium due to trace amounts of other minerals contained in it. Eggshell calcium is probably the best natural source of calcium, and it is easier for your body to digest and absorb. Dutch researchers have reported recently a highly positive effect of eggshell calcium (with added magnesium and vitamin D) on bone mineral density in a scientific study (double blind, placebo-controlled). Laboratory test and measures of bone density were carefully made in these studies. The eggshell had measurable increases in bone density in their hip bones, after one year.
The ideal bone-building combination of eggshell calcium and vitamin D3 was also well documented in Japanese studies. Researchers at the Japan Women’s University, Tokyo studied a combination of vitamin D3 and eggshell powder in animals with osteoporosis. Not only was the eggshell powder with vitamin D3 able to improve bone mineral density, but it did it without significantly increasing blood calcium levels. It is composed of various compounds like calcium carbonate, calcium phosphate, and traces of elements like aluminium, magnesium etc.
One whole medium sized eggshell makes about one teaspoon of powder, which yields about 750 - 800 mgs of elemental* calcium plus other microelements, i.e. magnesium, boron, copper, iron, manganese, molybdenum, sulphur, silicon, zinc, etc. There are 27 elements in total. The composition of an eggshell is very similar to that of our bones and teeth.*Elemental amounts are the amounts absorbable. It need not be taken more than 500 mgs of calcium at one time because human body cannot handle it. If it is needed more than 400 mgs per day then splitting of the  doses during the day to be advised.

Kukkutandatwakabhasma:
Kukkutandatvakbhasmahas been considered under the heading of sudhavarga dravyas as it is one of the important source  of calcium.
Sudhavarga is further subdivided into
1.     Animal origin
2.      Plant origin
3.      Mineral origin
Kukkutandatwak bhasma has been included by later authors of  Rasashastra.Its procedures are mentioned  only in few rasa classics such as Rasa tantrasaar and the same is mentioned in Ayurvedasaarsangrah  also .but other than these classics other methods of kukkutandatwaka bhasmikarana are mentioned by anubhutvaidyas such as khadiwale vaidyasand also various other methods are prevalent which are followed on a commercial bases in few pharmacies.
In granthas no varieties of kukkutandatwaka is described. The methods ofKukkutandatvak bhasma Shodana is Bhavana or nimajjan. Marana (bhasmikarana) is done by  puta method.
Shodhanais a process which separates mala by doing peshana ,kshalana, mardana, nirvapa etcMarana is a process of subjecting Rasa dravyas into a form , which cannot be converted  back into original form .Generally it will be in the form of fine powder and its characteristics  are vaaritara, apunarbhava. The oral administration ofKukkutandatwak bhasma gives effective results in this pathologic manifestation. It had no side effects and is a potent, effective, economical, easily available compound.
The relevant classical and up to date information about all aspects ofkukkutandatvakand its bhasma, its toxicity and research of will be reviewed and collected from the texts of Rasa shastra, Ayurveda and contemporary sciences.
Properties of kukkutandatwaka bhasma:
Rasa- predominantely kashaaya rasa
Virya- ushna
Vipak- shita
Guna- ruksha
Doshagnatha – Kapha-Vata Shamaka properties,
Karma-It is an excellent asthi- mansa Dhatu poshaka vardhaka ,rasayana,vajikaravrishya, raktanuvardhaka , agnideepaka, balya for paachana sansthan,hridya, prasav ke baad atyant baladaayaka,maansvardhak,etc..
Kukkutandatwak bhasma has also been indicated in Raktapradara, Prameha, Mutraroga, Vatavikara and Mansik Daurbala. It also has the properties ofrasayanabalya, and  shaktivardhaka.

Anupaana- mishri , butter , honey

Matra – 1-4 ratti ( 1 Ratti =120 Mg )

MATERIALS AND METHODS:
 SOURCE:
 Required quantity of raw drug will be procured from authentic sources and Authentified by expert of respective department ( Rasashastra  & Dravyaguna )
1.Kukkutanda Twak: collected from a local egg stall
2.Changeri Patra :  Raw drug related data was collected from YMT garden, Kharghar.
3.Butter Milk: Freshly prepared at YMT lab.
4.Lemon:  Purchased from local market
Procedure:
Shodhana and marana of kukkutandatvak bhasma was carried out in pharmacy section, department of Rasashastra,
Basic analytical studies was accomplished at the laboratory of  PG section,Rasashastra department ,YMT Ayurvedic Medical College,Navi Mumbai and other related investigations will be conducted in other laboratories.
Experiment no. 1.
Making Eggshell Powder

  Making Powdered Eggshells:
1.      Empty eggshells were washed in warm water until all of the egg white is removed, but the inner membrane was not removed  because it contains important nutrients for the joints which helps arthritis.
broken pieces were laid out on paper towels and were allowed them to air dry thoroughly.
2.     The eggshells were then broken up into small pieces and grinded t into a fine powder in a food processor. Store powdered eggshells in a covered glass jar or container. Keep it in a dry place,


Experiment no.2

Preparation of Kukkutandatwakabhasma by roasting  method:Kukkutandatwak powder= 300 gm.
Butter  milk = 1litre.
Butter milk was added to kukkutandatwak and was kept for 12 hours and then washed and powdered .
Bhavana of kumariswarasa was given and then it was transferred to a kadhai for roasting.till dry powder is formed.and then again it was powdered in khalvayantra.

Experiment no.3

Preparation of Kukkutandatwakabhasma by Steaming method:
Kukkutandatwak powder= 300 gm.
Lemon juice = 600 ml.
1.     The juice of  lemon (freshly squeezed),  was added to kukkutandatwaka powderand mixed well it starts to bubble and foam, which is what was supposed to happen.
2.     Once bubbles stopped mardanasanskara was continued it became dry .it took around 12 hours.
Once it was dried it was neatly wrapped in clean cloth and was steamed in sterilizer of ymt operation theatre. The pressure was maintained to 1.5 kpa for 4 hours.
3.   It was then removed from the sterilizer and transferred again to khalva for mardana till it was completely dried and finely powdered.




Experiment no. 4 - Preparation of Kukkutandatwakabhasma by puta  method:
The shodhana and marana of kukkutandatvak will be done as mentioned in Ayurveda Saarsangraha.
Kukkutandatwak powder= 300 gm.
Changeripatraswarasa = as per requirement
Shodhana : It was done by bhavana .and nimajjana method . i.e. kukkutandatwaka powder was triturated with changeripatraswarasa(oxalis corniculata) and as per text it was transferredin to a sharava andchangeripatraswarasa was added toit till it was completely immersed in changeripatraswarasa . Then it was covered with another sharava and maatkapada was done and was kept for drying.
Bhasmikarana:
Once maatkapad was completely dried it was subjected to Gajaputas.after self cooling The reduced powder was again triturated with changeripatraswarasafor 2 days and subjected to three gajaputas. Finally the KukkutandatwakBhasma was collected from the saravasamputa and preserved in air tight containers.
OBSERVATION:
Observation noted while preparing Kukkutandatwakabhasma by roasted  method:

1.After immersion of kukkutandatwaka powder in butter milk it becomes soft and then carefully it was drained.
2. After adding fresh kumara swarasa to dried powder the whole mixture becomes one and then by continuous trituration with kumara swarasa it became soft and homogenous.
3.Once the whole mixture was almost dried and homogenous then it was transferred to an iron kadhai for roasting.
4. While roasting initially it does not stick to the bottom of  iron kadhai but after certain stage it starts adhering to the bottom of the kadhai.so continuous stirring was done.
Observation noted while preparing Kukkutandatwakabhasma by steamed method:

1.After exposing it to steam in sterilizer it became lightly fluffy and soft and was wet which was dried later.
2.After adding lemon juice to kukkutandatwaka powder effervescence started which diminishes as time passes by.

Observation noted while preparing Kukkutandatwaka bhasma by puta method:

1.     After first puta the colour of  bhasma became black in colour.
2.     After second  puta the colour of  bhasma became greyish in colour.
